009de3;\"><u>Whirlpool Corporation<\/u><\/span><\/a>, at the panel discussion \u201cNouvelles maintenances\u201d (The New Maintenance) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.global-industrie.com\/en\"><span style=\"color: 009de3;\"><u>Global Industrie<\/u><\/span><\/a> Fair on 6 March 2019 in Lyon, France.<\/p><p>Pierluigi Petrali explained main reasons why research on predictive maintenance is important for Whirlpool, especially when dealing with complex automatic processes in the Whirlpool\u2019s production line of white goods.<\/p><p>He also provided an example on the connection between preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Preventive maintenance is mainly performed according to the experiences or indications, e.g. by substituting machine components regularly or as scheduled to have a zero breakdown.
